Like I said Arrogance is setting in. Next they won't consult Ed when doing the next FR Campaign setting book. I don't like that they have so little respect for living setting creators.
not a fan of any one creator getting credit for group work... lets be honest NO setting (especially not the realms) gets to be claimed by anyone any more. It's like trying to claim Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, have anything to do with ICON, Supreme, or any other superman... yeah they did the orginal work but so many creators have worked on it since that there is no way to show the current version was the vission of just them,

This would be the first bundle that mixture printed book and a box with miniatures, wouldn't be it?

I wish them a great success, and I understand this is marketing strategy as "limited editions" for collectors and speculators, but if I want a board game with miniatures then I will buy Hero Quest.

Will we see a Dark-Sun bundle with a board game about fights in a gladiator arena?

Really I want to buy books about monsters, PC races and classes (not only subclasses). And I can await to save money.

The battle game isn't small scale minis: this War of the Lance game is for simulating battles with twenty to a hundred THOUSAND troops on each side, per Winninger.

A Dark Sun mass battle board game is highly plausible, though: make an Adventure where the PCs participate in a struggle to overthrow the Dragon King system, with a mass battle game tie in? Brilliant potential, and is true to the original Dark Sun concept of "Battle World."

can I throw my 2cents for what it is worth and say that would be great for BIRTHRIGHT

Yes, they said that if it does well there will be more games like that for more settings, Birthright is one of two other D&D settings that were designed for mass combat games (the other is the Forgotten Realms, which had massive changes in 1e accommodate preexisting mass combat modules and rules, and which had a real time strategy game made for it).
