I actually don't purchase a whole lot anymore. Some Traveller here, a D&D Beyond purchase there. The only thing I buy physically now is Star Wars RPG products because I'm a massive Star Wars fan, but I know I'll never get to use them.

I will buy almost anything in pdf if it somehow catches my attention. However, I am a lot more picky with physical books - I usually stick to games I am playing right now.

I have played (or ran) every game I have ever bought. Now there are plenty of supplements I have bought that I might have used 2 or 3 pages of.

I bought Pathfinder for Savage Worlds as part of the Kickstarter and even when I bought it I was pretty sure I would never use it. I played 3.x/Pathfinder for longer than probably any other game and when I got burned out I moved to Savage Worlds. I was really curious to see how PEG made the two work together so I helped Kickstart it. ----- I have read most of the rules and generally really like it.

I bought Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy and Band of Blades because they all sounded like fun and I was really interested in the Forged in the Dark ruleset but while I will make sure I run one (probably Blades in the Dark) the other two were bought just so I could read them.

Back in my D&D 3.5 days I got Ptolus for a gift and even though I asked for it I knew I would never use it as a setting but there is a lot of info there with plenty of ideas to draw from. Plus, if a burglar ever breaks into my house I can bludgeon him to death with it.

There have also been some bundles for charity I bought, like a recent one from DriveThru RPG where the proceeds went to Ukraine. I didn't care about what I was buying but I was able to support a worthy cause, support some small publishers and maybe find a gem or two.

Just FYI these vary. Bundle of Holding and Humble bundle split proceeds between the chosen charity, publisher, and bundling company so buying them financially helps the publishers a bit. My understanding is that Drivethru charity bundle proceeds often go to the charity so it is often an act of charity from the publishers and does not support them financially other than through exposure and goodwill.
