D&D 5E "I would play in a 5e game with no caster classes at all" (a poll)

The inverse is also true: I would cheerfully join a game with only casters, too.

If the DM adjusts the CR of encounters to the abilities of the party, then I am up for anything. (So, I voted Yes).
However, if we play a standard pre-written adventure and follow milestones for leveling up then maybe I'd like a little more variety in the party. Wouldn't want to fight a dragon with only crossbows and slings.

I definately would fight that dragon with just a Great Sword.

I'd wait above it on a cliff than jump on it's back waving my sword wildly. Then I'd connect my hair veins into it's hair veins and control it telepathically as we swoop through the ravines and floating rocks. Then, once it was under control I'd terrorize the smaller wyverns and call to my fellow smurf cats to join me in an all out war against the alien invaders.

Finally, I'd hope others would enjoy a ride fashioned after the event and dream they were 9 to 10 foot tall smurf cats as well.

I forgot about the old hair vein connection trick. I feel so dumb now. Hahaha!

Note that, with how I phrased it above, it was specifically being full casters (with Warlock added in.) Just as this poll doesn't exclude the Fighter class solely because it has the Eldritch Knight subclass.

I ran a successful 5e campaign on that premise. No PC casters at all, though some enemies could use magic. The campaign/game lasted about a year and a half, meeting weekly, and fell apart when one player (out of the 3 I had) moved out of state.

I still occasionally hear from the players about how much fun they had with it.

Because if the answer to that question is "no" or even middling...I am quite confused by the ENWorld 5e fanbase.

For me it’s obviously yes but I’m playing a gish of some sort.

I tend to just call those "normal games".

I'm being a little facetious, but most of our games are solidly caster-oriented. (Which is hard to avoid with normal 5e rules.)
