A twist on the post-apocalyptic genre, where dragons have laid waste to the earth.
I think it was quite an underappreciated film, as watching it again yesterday I realized that this is really the only film I can think of where the dragons really have a lethal look and feel to them. Even by today's standards I think the monsters stand up really well. The film has a really gritty look, a solid cast of actors, and the X-Files director on board. All in all a good watch!
Here is a scene where they are tracking a dragon at high altitude in a chopper, and everything goes to hell.
