This epic war story begins with an invitation to a friend's funeral and three optional prelude encounters that guide you into the world of Krynn. Amy Dallen is joined by Eugenio Vargas to share some details about how these opening preludes work and some advice on using them in your own D&D games.

There is also information on the three short 'prelude' adventures which introduce players to the world of Krynn:
  • Eye in the Sky -- ideal for sorcerers, warlocks, wizards, or others seeking to become members of the Mages of High Sorcery.
  • Broken Silence -- ideal for clerics, druids, paladins, and other characters with god-given powers.
  • Scales of War -- ideal for any character and reveals the mysterious draconians.
The article discusses Session Zero for the campaign and outlines what to expect in a Dragonlance game -- war, death, refugees, and so on.

Once published, it will be what Dragonlance is, for the current edition. Change is, potentially (until published we dont know) a retcon.
that is not what a retcon is though...

Batman Begins doesn't retcon Adam West Batman. Yes more kids today know bale then west, but neither is a retcon... they both exist side by side in different worlds
Then let the morality of Dragonlance, be different, where White Robes are Good, but work with Black Robes that are not, in the interest of what they value most.
why is it the only thing you care about? Especially since you already said you expect they wont do it?
Ah yes, the most banal defense of them all. Pardon me. :poop::sick::poop:
look put as many insults as you want, it is the way it is. DL is not being continued in 5e (but it is in novels) but reimagined. This is to make money,

Perhaps you can entice the masses with a new setting that caters to their preferences?
I hope so... again I have never been against this.

I think in a perfect world each edition would launch with a new setting, and then reimagine old ones for a few years then alternate new old new old...
And again, a promotional video that no more than a tiny percentage of D&D fans have even seen is not sufficient notice of a "reimagining".
You saw it... YOU KNOW. you can hide behind "maybe the kid down the block doesn't know" all you want, but YOU KNOW IT IS

Alignment? Because until they cut it out completely, I'll mention it in every poll, every feedback offering, every thread where it comes up, to ensure Wizards remains aware that it should stay. Just as it was added back for Fizbans (the last book I bought).

I also care about the orders, the knights, the lack of clerics until the gods return, the gods, the balance aspect, and how Kender are actually yes, unable to quite grasp the whole 'property' concept and more besides.

I do know what they're doing. I am against it, and hope the actual effect is minimized in the actual product, which is all that matters.

I will speak out as much it should be done away with, or atleast minimized to just a role play aide

the kender one bugs me more then the tower... why would any race not be able to learn "even if I don't have a concept of property, they do so don't take things" it is insulting, and boarders on propaganda against marginlized people

if you know they are relaunching on new krynn what is it you are against?
I think their objection is it's incredibly deceptive to print a book called "Dragonlance" that fans of the previous stuff would see and not realize they changed a bunch of stuff so it might not be the world they're familiar with and wanting to revisit. If they at least on the back or near the front of the book put a small little blurb saying "this is Dragonlance reimagined", it won't look like they're just trying to cash in on an old IP.

Is that about accurate @Micah Sweet?
