Well that isn’t true. All of Eberron is ca. 1920.
@EzekielRaiden did a great job describing the origin of libram, and touched on Dweomer, but I’d like to point out that Dweomer is not even a term that Gygax saved from dying all on his own, as it is a term used in The Lord of The Rings.I'm pretty sure that "libram" was invented by Gygax. Maybe "dweomer" too.
I would have thought trains would have dated back even further. Not for rail of course, but for something like having multiple teams of animals pulling wagons from one location to another like a camel train.Trains are 1825
From Wikipedia:I would have thought trains would have dated back even further.
Trains are an evolution of wheeled wagons running on stone wagonways, the earliest of which were built by Babylon circa 2,200 BCE. Starting in the 1500s, wagonways were introduced to haul material from mines; from the 1790s, stronger iron rails were introduced.
I suppose I should have said locomotiveI would have thought trains would have dated back even further. Not for rail of course, but for something like having multiple teams of animals pulling wagons from one location to another like a camel train.
