In theory, fire in the outer planes is actually the idea of or belief in fire.

Or you could have no outer planes or inner planes and the gods live on the world itself and elementals emerge from the world.

You should maybe try the Search function. While it's certainly niche, it's not wholly unsupported in OGL works, and there's plenty of old work on the topic that still holds up.

But hey, let's see what happens when I search "Plane of Salt" in the DMs Guild.

1) Citizens of Saltmarsh -> Nope, not the plane of Salt.
2) Codex of the Infinite Planes Vol 03 Plane of Earth -> Sure, I bet it includes the plane of salt, but it isn't an adventure set there.
3) Map pack for Invasion from the Planet of Tarrasques -> Nope
4) Daerdan's Tall Tales: 101 Seafaring Encounters -> Plane of Salt doesn't have a sea, sooooo... nope.

11) Oh look, here is the Inner planes book for 2e that just mentions the plane and isn't an adventure for it.

Got all the way down to 50 entries, using that Search function, and not a single adventure set in the plane of salt, or a book devoted to the plane of Salt. And considering I started getting things for Curse of Strahd within the top 50, and there were only 125 results... I don't think I'm going to find it.

So, please, tell me again about this magical search function that will show me what doesn't seem to exist?

The 4E cosmology is also fine. It's a different flavor. The lack of ethereal plane never sat right with me, but other than that, it's fine.

Never played 4e. But, I don't really care for the ethereal plane and leave it out of my homebrew cosmologies.

Trying to figure how this could work, unless by "lightning" you mean electricity conducted through something other than air...which means it isn't lightning any more, just electricity.

Lightning is an electrical discharge of short duration and high voltage. It can be either between a cloud and "the ground" or within a cloud. Nothing states it must pass through a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide to be considered lightning.

Also, lightning damage is just electricity. They just gave it a fancier name.

Ah, so you're looking for adventures? Heck if I know. I don't use other people's adventures.

You can find more stuff online and in the official D&D books. Salt monsters also factor into Dark Sun if you just need more nasties.

By that logic shouldn't they remove violence from the game as well?

I'm sure there must be plenty of potential players who have suffered regular assault or been a witness to assault or murder
