Might as well do it here since it's already an AD&D to 5E conversion thread.

I'd do the Cairn first, if only to be alphabetical.

By the way, the Raam is the same as the Rom from 2E AD&D's MC13 Monstrous Compendium Al-Qadim Appendix (1992), so it qualifies too.

Both have 3E conversions in the Creature Catalog.
In other news, I revisited these (as am getting round to working on dodkong and minions)....cairn is really boring as a statblock. have made some more interesting homebrew, which I can throw up on a homebrew thread.

Well what would you do to make them more interesting?

The original Cairn wasn't that different mechanically from a living Stone Giant. Better defenses (AC, magic weapons to hit, weird telepathic sense, undead immunities) and that's about it.

Their attacks did a hair more base damage but that's hardly exciting.

Okay, I need a efreet noble statblock and only found one from 2e...trying to buff it so more options in combat. Came up with this so far. Gotta sleep now.....

So this leaves...just the description now?

We still need a Description for Adonides.

How's this…
Appearing as a young darkly handsome giant wearing courtly robes, Adonides is a powerful devil who uses his clothing and long hair to hide his short forked tail, crimson chest and small horns, although the fiend's glittering black eyes and fanged smile may reveal Adonides's true nature. He always carries a twisted spiked staff.
Steward of Caina. Adonides is a high-ranking Duke of Hell who acts as steward of Mephistopheles' realm of Caina, a post whose primary duty is internal security. He is cruel and high-handed, and suspects every devil beneath him of being a spy for Baalzebul, one of Mephistopheles' rival Arch-Devils.

That seems to cover all the salient facts from the original Dragon #76 article.
