D&D (2024) Lifetime boycott of D&D-branded products?

How about a ‘lifetime boycott’ from purchasing new D&D-branded products? (If I were to take this up, I’d still allow myself to pick up used copies.)

Such an action could be complementary with switching to A5E / PF2 / 13A / (insert your favorite Black Flag game system here).

I’m at work right now, but I look forward to canceling my DnDBeyond subscription when I get home.

I find it a bit over the top and a bit of a cop out. It says you want to punish them, but not so much to not play their game. I will likely still play the game and likely buy the new edition if it solves some of the problems we have now. I have played this game all my life and cannot see not playing, even if the managers of the current company that owns the game is doing things a lot of people do not like.

Eh, at least until they behave again.

Like how I came back to DC after they got rid of the new 52. And after they made a couple of movies that weren't so.... Snyder (Aquaman and Shazam).

I mean i instantly regretted it (Titans TV series, and Dark Knights: Metal), but... actually, I don't know the point I was making now. Sure, forever.

Well, at least we know what action you’re taking; so you’re in no position to rib me for still buying used D&D adventures for, say, my A5E or MCDM or Kobold Press Fantasy Core or DCC campaign, with a conscious effort to purchase Frog God modules.

Obviously used books (whether 5e era or previous editions) do not directly support Hasbro.
