While there has been no mention of any official sourcebook or adve nture which ties in to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Amongst Thieves, with less than two months to go some news of licensed products have started to emerge. Of course, there will always be Funkopops and dolls and other merchandise, but Ultra PRO has announced some gaming accessories based on the movie.

I play mostly online these days but do run live games at cons. I see lots of dice trays, a few dice trays and zero play mats (aren't they a card game thing?). That $50 book cover should come with a PHB inside for that price.
To be fair, it says it’s a folio not a book cover, so maybe it’s got basically a notebook and other stuff. I’d still need to see more details to say whether it’s overpriced.

Who uses dice towers and why? After more than 30 years of gaming, I've never felt owning one would improve my game playing experience.
My father in law made beautiful wooden dice towers for all of his grandkids and kids (and some of their spouses :) ) because he's both a retired shop teacher and a huge Settlers of Catan fanatic. And when he played Catan with his grandkids (and kids. And some of their spouses) he got tired of having to crawl under the table to pick up dice. So when he found out about dice towers he had a new project.

I don't like playing without mine now. It's got this nice tray at the bottom that catches the dice and keeps them from scattering across the table. It's really especially nice to have when I'm running games online and my desk doesn't have a whole lot of room for dice to roll on it.

I really don't understand how they can have so little and such bad marketing products for this. You would think they would sell miniatures of the main characters of the movie, tie-in starter sets etc. Anything else for the game. This seems really lazy and they only use two concept art pieces, one of Chris Pine and the other of the Ooze, which we've seen before. Where is the other art and all other products?

That someone better
Well, Pine is playing a bard.

Regê is playing a Paladin and has full plate it looks like. Michelle is the axe-wielding Barbarian.

I guess what I'm discovering in this thread is that some people haven't seen a single trailer yet, because the relationship between the upcoming movie and the past ones is nothing. They're as different as Xena and House of the Dragon

My problem is that the 'Hero' costumes are far more on the Xena side of things than House of the Dragon.

The budget for this film is not small, and I've seen better cosplay outfits...

The budget matters and I will get excoriated for saying this but really my enjoyment is more closely tied to a good script and the tone.

^This^ So underrated...
