Did they use "The Goodbye Girl" in the game, or was that the showrunners underlining Ellie's plight with that choice of movie?

I know its a show about humanity and human relationships, but it arguably needs a few more Zombie encounters.

The world feels all a little too safe.

Fantastic series so far.
Easily the best video game adaptation onto either big or small screen.
(sure, there was no competition, but this is setting a high bar for anything that follows)

I will somewhat ironically stand up for the Jolie Tomb Raider movies, entirely unironically stand up for the Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider movie, and entirely ironically stand up for the OG Super Mario Bros. movie, but yeah, The Last of Us is definitely the leader of a pretty sad pack

I've never seen the tomb raider movies, or that Super Mario Bros movie. (I might see if I can find any on streaming over the weekend)

The recent Sonic films have actually been pretty fun, and we'll see how the upcoming Mario film goes, but yeah. The Last of Us is just in a different ballpark.

I kinda liked Uncharted. The same kind of dumb fun that doesn't make any sense if you think about it as the games.

No, the dog scene was new. I actually like this "weak" side of Joel. I think it was excellent set up for the PTSD he suffers which is turning into panic attacks. It actually makes his decision to try and pass Ellie on to Tommy make a lot more narrative sense.
