Eh. I'm open to collecting campaign settings, but they need to keep them balanced. While TSR was also guilty of this, WotC has a history of giving power creep options to campaign settings that throw off the balance, which quickly removes my desire to spend money on them.
 


"The core setting is the multiverse" is a great way to tell me I get to save a bunch of money for the next few years, since my campaign world is cut off from the multiverse and my players are a long way from learning that's true, to say nothing of altering the status quo.
Well, what that has meant for the past decade is "we're throwing in references to lots of old stuff, bit ensuring you can file all the serial numbers off for a DIY world." Doubt that's changing.

Strixhaven, Krynn and Spelljammer characters are, at the moment, more powerful than core ones, but since everyone is going to get feats soon, I expect them to drop back toward the baseline next year.

In this case, the adventure is apparently about running around the multiverse, which my Ptolus PCs won't be doing. Which is fine. I've got plenty of other stuff for them to do.
