The Belgian Embassy to China has sales at 5.2 million (most likely source for the Embassy is VG Insights which had the same numbers as the Embassy when they told China), BUT Steamspy, which while having broad ranges do have a good track record of high selling games falling within its stated ranges, even when folks are skeptical such as Elden Ring, and Steam Spy is now saying 20 million to 50 million owners. Even after after 2018 they still have a good track record, just not as good.

With regard to companions willing to sleep with you extremely quickly, irrespective of gender, let's not forget that Tav has an illithid tadpole in his brain. Who's to say that, on top on the documented powers like telepathy or detect toughts, it isn't broadcasting a constant "hey, you're cute/handsome, let's copulate" on Tav's behalf, quickly grinding their partners' mind ? [there is no hint in the game this is explicitely the case, but it might make you suspend disbelief more easily at how Tav can meet 10 motivated partners of varied species in the space of a few days, even if it has 8 CHA -- or it might make you yuck and not engage in any relationship with companions].

Good thing I learned to save before dialogues in CRPGs long ago. Had one of of those situations where a dialogue option did something quite different than my intention with it. My intent was "do the right thing and keep this person out of furher suffering" but the dialogue option result was "cruelly mock this person and destroy their hopes" :)

I'm also frequently catching myself giving up for a second when I reach an invisible wall, only to remember that in this game they are not invisible walls and you can jump over the chasm/fence/whatever.

I really wish some dialogue options weren't all variations of bad.

I wanted to let one NPC down easy like "Hey, you're a wonderful person and I value what you bring to the team, but I just don't see you like that."

Instead the options are
"Lets hit it. Giggity"
"naughty word no. Barf."
"Nah, I'm good."

I'm in Act 3 and the more populated areas are chugging on my somewhat out-of-date PC. I have a replacement arriving next Friday that I know will run it significantly better, but can I hold off until then?

Maybe I'll compromise on starting a second run. There's plenty of Act 1 and Act 2 content I missed first time around.
One thing I will say is that BG3 has a lot of memory leaks right now, so you may need to reload the game every hour or so if you find it really chugging. Even with a high performance graphics card I find the game starts to stutter if I've been playing for a long time.
