Captain Marvel's biggest sin is that I was suffering from superhero movie fatigue when it came out. At this point, I don't even bothering going to the theater to see them.

I am so done. I don’t want to be a stick in the mud but overkill.

I am overstimulated with the CGI.

I can go back and watch some Ed Norton as the hulk. Maybe some bane and joker with Christian bale. But I just can’t eat any more dessert man.

My neurons are just not responding to the bangs and the booms like they did.

I really liked Wonder Woman, but the cheesy CGI fight with Ares/Nigel McBritishface at the end of the movie was too much. The same goes for Shan-Chi, the CGI dragon fight at the end just didn't do anything for me.

Not as childish as someone who won’t call a book a book, though.

I don't know of anyone who says dead tree edition to the total exclusion of book.

Captain Marvel is much better than Wonder Woman, and it's not even close.

I like Spelljammer 5e. Never played 2e SJ, but 5e seems gonzo and fun, and changes expectations.

(I don’t like it being a Forgotten Realms expansion, though. Easy to ignore that part.)

I was almost tempted to see The Flash in theaters because of the multiverse hijinks. Saw it over the weekend finally on stream and glad I waited. Its been years since I thought differently about supers.

I think its good? My younger millennial brothers and their wives say it "slaps my backside" when something is good. Only they don't say backside.

"Kinda slaps" is the ironic understatement brother to the hyperbole of "is a banger."
