For the tadpoled characters like Wyll and Gale it's explicitly mentioned that they seem to have been powered down by the experience. For others it's less explicable, but also less of an issue as you'll be higher level by the time you recruit them.

Playing a gnome and I love the detail that when they included climbing the gnome slides down each rock step on but. Awesome detail!!!

I think my 2nd run as Dark Urge will be based on Imoen. Now if I can just find a mod to say "Heya! It's me, Imoen!" Every time I click on her.

I wished I would have done this earlier on my first playthrough, but I'm re-speccing the NPCs. That way I can play with the personalities I want, and not the classes that make up a good party (stuck with Shadowheart if you want a cleric).

In my 2nd playthrough, I'm playing a shadow sorcerer (mod). Lazeal is a vengeance paladin and karlach is a life cleric. Asterion is the same though.

I made Astarion a Bard which worked well. Than a Monk. Not sure which version I like more.
