Here's a spicy one before the weekend:

If your game doesn't have a bespoke system it tells me you as a designer either had no concern or understanding over how the game system interacts with whatever content was almost assuredly the actual focus. It tells me your game could have just been a far smaller, and likely far cheaper, supplement to whatever system you threw some paint on.

Also explains why, in part, despite not caring for AW and virtually every other PBTA game i've ever read or played, I do love Ironsworn. Its the same baseline system, but geared specifically to support the intended experience, and I can deeply appreciate that effort, even if I have well known and well spiced opinions on that base system.

True - Fighter and Wizard defenders have had their say.

Now, about that Cleric/Thief divide..........
i mean, tweak that to paladin/thief and it can kickstart a whole array of threads on alignment issues and the roleplaying thereof...

i actually like the premise and potential of alignment i just think it needs to be explained/implemented better

Unpopular opinion-

Alignment languages are not just cool, they're sexy.

An available dubbing with authentic Marvel comics Asgardian (aka faux middle English?) would be a hoot.

"My umbrella hath changeth into a hammer, and my speech hath changeth to a lisp! What goeth on around here?" -- the Flighty Sore in "Not Brand Ecch" comics.

Marvel has never taken themselves 100% seriously.

In the distant past they didn’t take themselves seriously. That changed around the late ’90s early ’00s when alternate covers and infinite first issues lead to the speculation bubble.

Well, some games have taken the supplement-to-main-system tack. The problem is then people complain about it not being self-contained. Its a no win.

No, but if you liked Drive My Car, and you're recommending this ... I'll add it to my list!
Yeah, I loved Drive My Car.

Everyone that had seen Past Lives raved about it to me, and it lived up to the high expectations that had been set. The trailer is a bit of a spoiler in that it outlines the whole plot. Not that it ruins anything, just thought it was worth mentioning.
