In fairness, the martial/caster divide arguments usually have as much to do with the martial/caster divide ... as the argument about pineapple topping on pizza has to do with putting pineapples on pizza.

Marketing copy for 5E kickstarters and such that talk about how many "hours of play time" the product provides just reveals that the team involved wish they were making video games where the real money is but had to settle for making RPGs.
