If your game doesn't have a bespoke system it tells me you as a designer either had no concern or understanding over how the game system interacts with whatever content was almost assuredly the actual focus. It tells me your game could have just been a far smaller, and likely far cheaper, supplement to whatever system you threw some paint on.
Also explains why, in part, despite not caring for AW and virtually every other PBTA game i've ever read or played, I do love Ironsworn. Its the same baseline system, but geared specifically to support the intended experience, and I can deeply appreciate that effort, even if I have well known and well spiced opinions on that base system.
