D&D General BG3 Massive Spoiler Thread

That's very true, like the mindflayer in the introduction not being the Emperor because his eyes are different!
Having reflected a bit on playing through the game, I seem to recall finding a dead mind flayer in the goblin lair of chapter 1 and identifying it as the one that tad-poled you.

Even better, the game tells you BOTH in the same scene!

Did not read the whole thread, but has anybody messed around the class/stats of the party for a whole playthru? I wonder what people feel would be the swaps that still make sense in terms of character personality. (ie, restoring Minsc's STR to a score that makes sense).

I plan on doing something like:
Laezel: Vengeance Paladin
Shadowheart: Shadow Monk
Gale: Mystra (Knowledge) Cleric
Astarion: ?? (bard could be good, but I dont see him as a inspiring supportive character)
Wyll: Hunter Ranger
Karlach: Battlemaster Fighter (so she can use the Helldusk armor set)

Minsc: Berserker Barbarian (finally!)
Jaheira: Sword bard (Harpers and all that)

Bear dude cant really be anything else than a Moon Druid, really...

I changed Shadowheart to a Life Disciple this current play through. Actually kept Astarion this time, as I surprisingly missed him in my last aborted attempt.

I hate feeling rushed in an RPG. Laezel is kidnapped. Minsc is in trouble. Wylls dad may die shortly. I have yet to know where to go to save him. Im scared to long rest that might cost someone their life.

Another interesting bug. Not sure if it's intended, but the helmet of Balduran cannot be moved out of my main character's inventory to another character. - it stays in my inventory. But I tricked the game by putting it inside a pouch within my inventory (doesn't work for the astral prism) and giving the pouch to Karlach, who could then equip the helmet from it.
I do like keeping the pouches and backpacks to organize things.

I didn’t worry about that and didn’t notice any consequence. Only thing that appeared timed was the newspapers writing about me helping solve a murder investigation, which made some random townsfolk despise me. Though they are probably intended to be Bhaal-worshippers, so I was fine with that.

I've played enough CRPGs that "pretend rush" you to not believe them when they do so anymore. :D

There is nothing to imply any of these are on a timer (which they are not). They are only endangered if you get close to them.

I stumbled across him whilst trying to do something else.

Too many of them (5+ I think, but they may be already dead depending on what you did in act 1) might, but not any of those characters.
