I tend to use shove when it's not into an abyss. Shoving the hobgoblin boss in the goblin camp into the spider pit is hilarious and fun, for example.
I finished the game in late October so some of my memories are a bit fuzzy. My main was a Beastmaster Ranger... I did not have spare bonus actions (Hunter's Mark), but neither was I ever in melee range. Trying to remember if anyone else had bonus actions available...I don't use shove much because I hate losing loot. That and better things to do with bonus action.
Depending on build Karlach can literally throw people off cliffs. A warlock with Repelling Blast also works well at range.I finished the game in late October so some of my memories are a bit fuzzy. Karlach did not either.
Too much of a packrat... I need the loot!Depending on build Karlach can literally throw people off cliffs. A warlock with Repelling Blast also works well at range.
Yeah, it took me a few tries, between learning the mechanics and prioritising targets, but a major factor was several of the mooks starting in positions from which they could be expelled from the combat in the first round.I don’t think I could have won the Cazador right if it weren’t for push. I definitely could not have saved Astarion. Come to think of it, that was my hardest fight in the game.
Yea, it was set up in a way to make you consider pushing a legit option. If I recall, the way I did it was have Wyll Eldritch Blast as many people off ledge as he could while running to get Astarion, Gale cast Otto’s Dance on the lich mage, and my main character challenge Cazador to a Duel.Yeah, it took me a few tries, between learning the mechanics and prioritising targets, but a major factor was several of the mooks starting in positions from which they could be expelled from the combat in the first round.
God I did this by accident in my first play through, with my main character cleaving and accidentally hitting her. It was hilarious how everything went to absolute crap so quickly, with Jaheria just aghast that you could let this happen.I'm about halfway through an Honor Mode run and just did the Last Light Inn where you try to save Isobel in Act II. One critical strike on her and everything went to hell. The moon shield fell and everyone was consumed by the shadow curse or went evil.. Managed to survive, but man that was depressing/brutal. Still going to press on, but have to say only do Honor Mode if you REALLY are ok with living with the luck of the die (and occasional game bug/missclick consequences).
