“…who have no limits to their powers.”"Omega level threat" is from X-Men '97, but is also a reference to how Storm is in the same power category as Magneto, Jean Grey, Exodus, Hope Summers and others who have no limits to their powers.
It's a weird thing in the comics because it isn't about level but about potential, like how Jean is an omega-level telepath but Charles Xavier isn't even though he's probably a 20th level character, and Jean Grey is maybe around 14th level.“…who have no limits to their powers.”
Certainly sounds like a D&D wizard to me….
What spell will she be casting? It looks so... anime-style.
It seems the anime-fantasy style art is here to stay…
If only. There’s nothing anime about it. Unless you stretch the definition to include glowing sigils in the air as “anime art.” Which is not exclusive to anime. Dr Strange has it.
Not to mention hilarious!![]()
Well, it removes blindness, which is vision so poor you cannot see. It seems reasonable to me that it would also handling simply "less than normal" vision as well. Since it also handles deafness, probably helps there, too.
Your interpretation may differ, but that is mine.
I don't read comics, and only know Dr. Strange from the recent film.
But surely, I must have gotten my impression from somewhere...

The "protection dome" is ubiquitous in a lot of the anime I have seen.
If you want to go with merely anime inspired, or even say that it's a universal trope now long distanced from its origins...
Ok, I won't quibble.
It’s also literally in D&D in the form of at least 3 different spells (Leomund’s tiny hut, wall of force, Otiluke’s resilient sphere), and was in the D&D movie too. I never saw anyone complain about Simon in Honor Among Thieves being “anime” when it came out.The "protection dome" is ubiquitous in a lot of the anime I have seen.
Casting spells to shield yourself isn’t possible in the game? It's quite nice BUT I dislike art that isn't possible in the game
If a wizard cannot do what is in the picture then don't use it.
You think nerdy girls don’t fantasize about being wizards…?Does not impress me at all. Looks like a nerdy girl fantasy, not a wizard.
Except that isn't what I said, so please stop insinuating that it was. Thank you.You do know that telling people that wear glasses is basically the same thing as being blind is not the greatest, right?![]()
The artist’s name is on the card, and yes, it does appear to be the same guy.I see the name of the artist has several MtG cards and other pictures that look similar, but not 100% it is the same artist.
