This sentence doesn't make sense to me.What does that image convey, from NE, to CN/CE around the quarter clock.
Is the river Styx not a thing anymore?
I'll admit if this image is used as the only map of these planes, then it is too minimalistic. But we don't know how or why it's being used. It was on a video about barbarians. We don't know if each section gets a secondary detailed map. We don't know if this is a little icon referencing something else.
I'm guessing it's from the World Tree subclass section, and is little more than a rough schematic to give users of that subclass an idea of the planes.
After all, one would hardly expect the big, definitive map of the planes for the edition to be located in the barbarian section of the PHB, of all places. I'm going to say that there's going to be a more comprehensive map or maps somewhere else in the core books.
We don’t just dislike the wheel. Some of us absolutely despise it.Seems, really bad? I mean I know not everyone enjoys the Great Wheel, but this looks boring as hell?

This isn't how I imagine a Barbarian imagining the planes in the great wheel (looking plastic).
And it really doesn't seem to fit with the idea of a world tree. Maybe have them actually on branches coming out front the middle? Or anything at all involving wood and leaves?
I like that it gets across vital details about each of the 16 Planes, quickly. A bit more new player friendly than a more in-setting esoteric presentation. I think it is, in fact, trying to look like a video game-y presentation for the target audience consumption and understanding.I'm ok with the great wheel (even if it is only for providing homes to outsiders)... but wow do I loathe that image.
Edit: It looks kind of like plastic board game pieces to me as opposed to either anything real or a map anyone in the game world would make.
