D&D (2024) D&D Pre-orders; this is sad

It may not be the system we want but it is the system we have. The 10 of you who keep making this argument are not going to change the world. Good luck though.
I don't hate capitalism. But capitalism takes many forms and there is place for being a moral and ethical company while getting paid. It doesn't have to be an endless chase of growth and profits for profits sake.

Oh, I'm fully aware.

Luckily I'll be dead of old age (or exposure once I'm to old to work) before it gets really bad. I'm more worried about Gen Y and Z. Though not just for the US but the world. I'd be more than happy tt be proven wrong. Time will tell.

A country with a top 10 capitalism ranking by the self-proclaimed pro-capitalist Heritage Foundation feels like it should be pretty capitalist?

Edit: Gah! I said I wouldn't respond. I guess if anyone wants to continue this, PM me.
Well, it's not like the Heritage Foundation doesn't have a vested interest in downplaying the socialist structures in many European (particularly Nordic) countries that keep their countries relatively happy AND prosperous. It wouldn't match their mojo to admit that democratic socialism is both possible and beneficial.

Agreed. The pursuit of shareholder dividends along with the lack of investing in your company, workers, and products are hollowing out many companies.

There should be government backed incentives to make companies invest in people and the nation. I wish their were tax breaks for investing in local workers, improving the business etc.

Mixed economies that blend socialist and capitalist philosophies would seem to be better.

Anyway, I am out. I do not want to argue about anything close to politics here.

I'm sorry you got piled on at the start of the thread.

I just have a clear vision of how it could go (and how I think it will) because of my own experiences.

But I'm open to knowing why some people are not worried and think it will be fine.

The dramatic tone of my original post aside, I'm seeking discussion.

Is it ironic that the website in that link is run by a for profit company? :ROFLMAO:
