And the discussion is perfectly fine. But it should stay in the Ranger forums, both here and in spaces like Reddit and YouTube. It bleeding over into other class discussions is frustrating.Heh. The Ranger Reveal thread in this forum has almost 1000 posts, while the second highest is paladin at a little over 400, and then all the rest drop to the 200's or less. It's definitely a hot topic.
Wizard can prepare spells.I'm not entirely sure what the sorcerer's identity is supposed to be when standing beside both the warlock and the wizard.
I wouldn't. One thing subclass spell lists give is more casting options. If Divine Soul Sorcerers don't get extra spells known then opening a bigger store doesn't do much when they've little money to spend. They consider the Wild Magic table as the "extended" list, it seems. I'd wager you're right, something like Divine Soul may not get them because they can pick Cleric spells.
It looks like they're doubling down on the metamagic thing, and thematic spells.I think it would have been cool if some of the sorcerer features from the early 5e playtests would have come back.
I think that I like the improvements, but it's hard to tell. I'm not entirely sure what the sorcerer's identity is supposed to be when standing beside both the warlock and the wizard.
Doesn't say anything, I think it's still Bards get their own spell list. Because with the pick a list option, I expressed a lot of disappointment in that if I wanted Illusion and Enchantment spells, I'd lose access to important spells like Cure Wounds and Healing Word.
As of the playtestI like that they now get mwtamagic when they get font of magic. Always felt weird to stagger it
I really hope they increased the amount of metamagic options. Otherwise the level 7 feature could prove to be very poor. Especially if you chose an option that could stack with other metamagic anyway.
