D&D General Bob World Builder Recreates WOTC's "Do You Like Me?" Survey!

The same people who insist they will never give Wotc their money again over the OGL whatever are the same people who will complain about layoffs when the affects of the boycotting hits the bean counters.
Where does it end?
Precisely how many jobs am I responsible for with my $150 in new D&D books I am not buying? I am just curious how guilty I am supposed to feel because the giant corporation couldn't balance their books between their useful employees and the C-suite.

We could buy the books and 2024 D&D could sell well, and WotC could still decide to layoff their staff for their quarterly bottom line.

Then don't wait for the apology or demand the apology.
I was talking in general, I am not waiting for anything.

Technically I am waiting for the new SRD and if that does not come we go our separate ways, but that is a passive waiting. We still might go our separate ways because I am not particularly impressed with 2024.

Go on with your life and never reference WotC again.
I am going on with my life, you give WotC way too much credit here. That doesn’t mean I cannot have an opinion on both their products and their actions and express it

That is how they balance their books. They fire the useful people because the C-suite contracts all have "you can't fire me" clauses".
What you feel guilty about is between you and the universe.

My issue with this whole OGL situation is that every single conversation regardless of topic comes down to; profits bad, corporate overlords bad, I hate Wotc.
not really, it boils down to breaking your word bad, breaking contracts bad, not valuing your business partners and customers bad. Profit does not enter the picture

then you have a weird way of expressing it, because I was contradicting what you wrote
Every single thread comes down to all of the terrible things Wotc seems to do. Can't we just have a thread about that instead of sucking the life out of all of the other topics with Anti-Wotc conversations?

If a person doesn't want to get involved with some company for perceived issues... I do not see the point in waiting for "an apology" just so they can then feel good about buying stuff from them again. That just feels like someone trying to pat themselves on the back for "standing up" for something... when in truth they are ready and able to jump at the chance to get the thing they want as soon as they feel things have been "righted" in their mind.

To me... if you're going to bother doing that, have the guts to go all-in-- cut them off entirely, no ifs, ands, or buts. Don't wait for the apology, just move on.
Hey, I already cut them off.

But I personally don't see the point of trying to square up on those people and belittle them with 50,000 tons of scare quotes so...

I am not sure why you would expect a thread about what people think and how people feel about WotC to not have posts about the things WotC does. Seems to be on you… can you have those threads, fine by me, but it won’t be this one. You are in one of the threads specifically about this…
