So, Dual-wielding is the new Grappling?

I can see this exchange in the future:

"Ha, you fool! You have dropped your light weapon after attacking me. Now you are defeated!"

:: Draws another light weapon and attacks again:: "Dual-wielding, sucker!"

You might be able to use your grapplee as an improvised melee weapon for your bonus action attack! As holding them only takes one hand.
That's hilarious, and now I wanna do it. Just depends on if the grapplee counts as a Versatile weapon or a Two-Handed weapon. You can hold 'em with one hand, but can you wield them with one hand?

Hmm. Good questions. We should probably stick to just grabbing halflings and punching stuff with them to be on the safe side.
Or Gnomes, goblins there are a few races you can easily grab and use as an improvised weapon. For best results play a Goliath so you have no worries about how much they weigh and the ability to grow larger.
So Goliath Sailor (for Tavern Brawler) then Dual Welder
