Dual-Wielder bonus attack needs to be made with a melee weapon. But that means you can use it to throw a dagger/trident.Side note. None of this says melee. Hand crossbows are light weapons.

You might be able to use your grapplee as an improvised melee weapon for your bonus action attack! As holding them only takes one hand. So, Dual-wielding is the new Grappling?
That's hilarious, and now I wanna do it. Just depends on if the grapplee counts as a Versatile weapon or a Two-Handed weapon. You can hold 'em with one hand, but can you wield them with one hand? You might be able to use your grapplee as an improvised melee weapon for your bonus action attack! Hmm. Good questions. We should probably stick to just grabbing halflings and punching stuff with them to be on the safe side. You can hold 'em with one hand, but can you wield them with one hand?
Or Gnomes, goblins there are a few races you can easily grab and use as an improvised weapon. For best results play a Goliath so you have no worries about how much they weigh and the ability to grow larger.Hmm. Good questions. Oh damn, I forgot about Goliaths! Grow Large, you're not even slowed down by grappling a Small target, even without Grappler feat. And you're wicked fast, too. Now we're cooking. So Goliath Sailor (for Tavern Brawler) then Dual Welder
Do we know yet what the Weapon Masteries are for Halflings, Gnomes, Goblins, and Kobolds?Oh damn, I forgot about Goliaths! Grow Large, you're not even slowed down by grappling a Small target, even without Grappler feat. And you're wicked fast, too. Now we're cooking.
Alas they are improvised weapons so no weapon masteries. If you are however a giant soul barbarian then you can set them on fire and throw them and they return to you automatically.Do we know yet what the Weapon Masteries are for Halflings, Gnomes, Goblins, and Kobolds?
