I'll see if we get more in the "Future of D&D" beyond "Here's some more details from the DMG!". It feels like they need to at least hint about where the 7 excluded subclasses from the 2014 PHB might end up, and common concerns like "What about the Artificer" and popular things from previous books that didn't make the cut.
At Gencon Jeremy Crawford revealed he was working on "new stuff for the Artificer". Maybe we'll find out what that's a part of.

I would be shocked if the Artificer and the good-but-missing 2014 PHB, Xanathar's and Tasha's subclasses don't have a new home by the end of 2025 and possibly much sooner.

They want people A) to convert to the new books and B) buy more books.

My money is on a Xen'drik slipcase: overview of the continent with a detailed Stormreach base of operations, with a refresh of Eberron mechanics (like Dragonmarks as expanded Feat Baclgrounds, Warforged Origin Feats, etc), a Bestiary and an Adventure...still works with Rising from the Last War.

I hope the 2024 Artificer is an opportunity to revamp some of it.

I love the concept but strongly prefer a full caster mechanically − to lean into the magic of magic items.

A Warlock chassis for Artificer, Psion, Swordmage, even Warlord, would be awesome.

This chassis would allow players to emphasize either a half caster or a full caster, depending on "invocation" choices.

For Artificer, emphasize elementalism and alchemy − including healing and immortality − as well as magic item creation, and the "science" of the magic.

With the 2024 core rules being more setting neutral, it means a Forgotten Realms setting guide can dive deep into its lore without needing to be vague or "neutral". It will still probably still try to avoid getting bogged down, so DMs can make it ones own. But also, it no longer needs to shy away from its idiosyncrasies.

I expect the setting-neutral core will prove to be healthier for Forgotten Realms specifically.

Come to think of it, Eberron would be the place to debut the 2024 Artificer, too.

Yeah, the main thing tipping me towards Eberron are those oblique comments about the Artificer at GenCon. Makes the most sense if they are doing a big overhaulnfor Eberron quick.

Frankly, they could get both in 2025, if they do an Ebwrron book or slipcase and a FR campaign or anthology.

In general, I expect we will see post-MM:

  • A big Campaign book, apparently involving Venger
  • An anthology smaller modular Adventures, old or new
  • Some sort of Setting product.

Would not expect a big Everything splat so soon after the PHB, nor a full Bestisry so soon after the MM: but something like the Planescape slipcase, thst I could see.
