It intrigues me that Greyhawk is getting the core and starter feature while the Realms get a two-book set.

That's more dual setting support than 5e has ever had
it is more than 5e had this early on, I doubt that the DMG contains more setting information about Greyhawk than the DL, SJ and PS releases had for their settings however

KotB is the quintessential "Slaughter all the evil humanoids, and the women and the children too" module. It will be interesting to see how WotC adapts it to the new humanoid design paradigm.
So, this is being headed by Justice Ramin Arman, who was also project lead for Quests from the Infinite Staircase. That book pulled the trick of adapting the older modules while editing for dated stuff very, very well: lots of fundamental changes to Loat City and Pharaoh that changed how they related to racial, cultural and gender issues.

Expedition to the Barrier Peaks was fundamentally a new Adventure that used some elements from the original, and I expect that this will be similar. Fewer Orc children questions.

Oh, I have no doubt they will make the necessary changes to make it align with the current design principles. I am mostly curious on how. KotB has some great memories for me, so I'm excited to see how they adapt it.

I think any Humamoid children are right out, for starters. There is a whole sidebar in Bigby about how theybstrongly recommend not putting Giant children into Encounters to fight.
