I think any Humamoid children are right out, for starters. There is a whole sidebar in Bigby about how theybstrongly recommend not putting Giant children into Encounters to fight.

This pretty much explains why the Goodman Games OAR series stepped away from classic first-party TSR modules. Wizards' wanted its juice back for another squeeze. I suspected as much.

I'm never happy with what WotC does with their own IP once they take it back from a licensee. Campaign settings, adventures, Dragon magazine, whatever.

Be interesting to see how watered down it is (PC power levels being different to old school). I've been running the original in a B/X via OSE game and yeah it can be brutal.

That once per day no save Sleep Spell saved the day a few times.

Yeah, putting "new" design choices aside, on a thematic basis, I'm interested to see how a party of furry avatars with no human in sight where everyone is an un-killable god at first level marries with Greyhawk.

Hint: I don't think it will.

Yes, but his point was that there are goblin kids, etc., that Gygax -- on this board -- said he expected to be killed by PCs. That's likely not going to be part of a 2025 WotC release.

Same way they did with Faerun and Dragonlance etc. "It's always been that way..... now"

My party (in my above mentioned OSE game) let the kids leave the cave. Just cause goblin kids exist in a game doesn't mean they will be murder hoboed.
