Rings of Power is Back [+] Appreciation

Speaking more in general, I agree with other posters that the score is very good. I'm also quite liking it visually.

As I said elsewhere, I feel that the writing has improved a lot in this season and also the acting of some of the characters, but this might actually be a sign of better direction.

Generally improved all around.

Last episode was good.

Character work has improved massively. Was lacking a lot in S1.

Nummenor, Sauron, Celi (elf Smith guy), the Dwarves etc.

Elrond the Dwarves aren't coming!!!

I know. Happy to spoil if you're interested.
Feel free!

Some folks are finding the Numenor stuff dead boring, but it's some of my favorite material int he show - and that's saying something! I think knowing Numenor's fate makes it more interesting, which may sound counter-intuitive.

Agreed. Numeror is the poster child of "mortal men doomed to die".

As far Celebrimbor goes, Sauron tortures and kills him in the literature during or shortly after the attack on Eregion. Logic and narrative structure suggests he'll die in the finale this week.

That's going to be heart-wrenching. Edwards' performance has really reeled me in.

I agree fully, but I was under the impression that the post that I replied to was referring to Tolkien's lore.
I believe the year listed above for the death is correct, but the circumstances I described are also correct, and those circumstances are happening in the show right now.

It seems that we are talking past each other. Perhaps you don't see the post that I originally replied to?
