In terms of superhero musicals, Agatha is doing a better job than Joker 2.

So far teen has been the absolute least interesting character, maybe thats intentional but defintely not a compelling PoV.I am pretty sure we are supposed to be viewing this from Teen's POV, as he feels more like the protagonist to me, than any of the others. I don't think we are supposed to feel empathy or sympathy for Agatha, or at least not yet.
The reasons are there. Each witch was deprived of their power in various nefarious ways, and now they want to reclaim it. I care about them. Last week's Music Spell vs Demon Curse was very touching. As with so many of the Disney+ MCU shows, and most of the films lately, it seems like I am supposed to care because of the meta-narrative rather than because of the characters in the show I am actually watching.
I'm a comics nerd. Note the large X-men logo tattooed on my shoulder. I'm a sucker for this stuff. But I still need basic story elements. All the pieces are there for this show to be great; it has a fantastic cast (well, except for Teen; they're lame), a cool aesthetic, and the Witch's Road is a great concept. Just give me a reason to care about these characters!
It's not even three hours into a TV show. You've been reading comics for decades. If I picked up a comic book series, I'd likely not care about any characters for many, many, many, issues. As with so many of the Disney+ MCU shows, and most of the films lately, it seems like I am supposed to care because of the meta-narrative rather than because of the characters in the show I am actually watching.

This is not a series that is going to run for decades. It has limited number of episodes. If I picked up a comic book series, I'd likely not care about any characters for many, many, many, issues.
Sure, and? This is not a series that is going to run for decades. It has limited number of episodes.
You're the one comparing it to comic series that have run for decades, trying to excuse it.Sure, and?
I think the show rests entirely on how interested you are in watching what Agatha's plan here is. So, I never was even looking to care about her groupies, just curious if they would just be sacrificial lambs, I was merely hoping they would be entertaining on the way.As with so many of the Disney+ MCU shows, and most of the films lately, it seems like I am supposed to care because of the meta-narrative rather than because of the characters in the show I am actually watching.
