Willow?

I had the unique experience of reading the continuation fantasy series, Shadow Moon, Shadow Dawn and Shadow Star with no knowledge of the film.
Thanks for sharing.

I read about those of Expedia. It seems the plots contradict what happened in the Disney+ series.

And it’s the series I find most interesting.

We still say this one during games on rare occasions.

Yes, I had heard they were not making season 2 & 3 - which were teased when they put Book 1 on a bookshelf next to Book 2 & Book 3 at the end of the final episode - even though season 2 is alleged to be fully written.

But apparently Disney+ won’t even show season 1 anymore? That’s what I think you’re saying, and I can’t find it on Disney+ either.

Terrible. Apparently it did pretty well, but Bob Iger of Disney treated it like Gygax treated the orange version of Palace of the Silver Princess - buried it.

It did poorly enough thst they decided it would be better to claim it as a tax writeoff...which means they can't legally show it anymore.

Wikipedia doesn't seem to agree it did poorly. Apparently, it was from 6th to 3rd most streamed show in its release weeks and:

<<Willow had a demand level 14.6 times higher than the average show during Q1 2023.[58] It was among the top 10% in popularity during Q1 2023 before its removal.[59] >>

Apparently, what happened:

<<The series was officially removed from Disney+ on May 26, 2023, amidst a Disney+ and Hulu content-removal purge, as part of a broader cost-cutting initiative under Disney CEO Bob Iger.[6]>>

Yup, but that was insufficient for Disney's budget and expectations. So they tanked it.

It sucks.
