D&D General “‘Scantily Clad and Well Proportioned’: Sexism and Gender Stereotyping in the Gaming Worlds of TSR and Dungeons & Dragons.”

When men are being accused of sexism because they make art featuring scantily clad and well proportioned women or because they are buying such material, I think it’s fair to ask if women engaged in similar behavior will be treated the same.
The romance genre probably has its own pack of problems. I'm sure as heck not familiar enough with it to add much to the discussion though.

*her post.

I generally extend the benefit of the doubt when people get this wrong, because “they” is an acceptable neutral pronoun when you don’t know someone’s preference, and people don’t always think to check subtitles for pronouns. But I’ve made several posts in the last few pages directly related to being a trans woman.

I used they as a neutral pronoun because I didn't know your gender

For my edification, don’t some trans women use different pronouns then ‘her’ or am I mistaken?

But given this accusatory post you just made I don’t think we can have that discussion.
Bro, lay off. Nobody accused the artist of sexism. But an ongoing culture of sexism certainly existed at TSR & at many game tables, & the article had receipts.

Well, and there's this GIANT clue...

I have no doubt that it did. Simply asking the question whether this one thing should actually be part of that evidence. So far it sounds like no. So that’s cool!

Despite my preferred pronouns being in my subtitle and me directly talking about being a trans woman in several posts over the last couple pages.

I’ll take your word for it that you missed these cues, I’m just saying, you should be more careful about this in the future. If you don’t know someone’s preferred pronouns, there’s a good chance you don’t have to look too far for context clues, and if all else fails you can just ask.

I think that this says more about your attitudes towards "elves" than anything else about half-elves. If you are biased against elves, it's no small wonder that you are also biased against half-elves. 🤷‍♂️ But on the plus side, we have at least reached the actual core issue with why you dislike half-elves.
Or we could look at the actual core in that I specifically and repeatedly states that I hate the Mulatto tragedy of Tanis Half-Elven being the assume default because it's directly insulting to me and not try to diminish it for a dumb joke about 'oh, so you don't like elves'. Okay?

I missed those. I just don't typically look at peoples sigs when I am responding to them and I tend to use 'they' when I am unsure (I also don't read every post a person makes in a thread). If I missed it in a place where you were responding to me, then I apologize
