Yeah, I was waiting for a typically personable droid name, so all I thought when I heard it was "Well, that doesn't exactly trip off the tongue."

The alien who points out that the food-serving alien is trying to cheat the kids asks them where they got “an Old Republic credit in mint condition.”

Oddly, despite the fact that Vane is standing right there when the foodie alien says to search the kids for more and is also present when the kids are captured, no one bothered to search Wim because he’s still got his credits in his sock in the brig.

I also point out that Fern equates the idea of a Jedi temple as being as far-fetched as the myth of At Attin’s “eternal treasure”.

What is “eternal treasure” anyway? Something valuable that can’t be spent and therefore is never depleted (unlike money)? Or like there’s so much money that it’s like you’d never be able to run out?

Maybe At Attin is where the Old Republic minted its credits! You’d want to keep something like that safely hidden away, right?

I enjoyed the first two episodes, thought they did a good job of capturing the Goonies vibe they were going for. I'm interested to see where it goes.

As a fan of TV on the Radio, it's great to see Tunde Adebimpe getting more acting work.

OK so what we know so far is that the people of At Attin (or at least the section of it that we've seen so far) are isolated from the rest of the galaxy by a cloudy barrier that prevents them from seeing the stars at night. (There were also some red lights in amongst the cloudy stuff, so I suspect there's a mechanical element to the barrier as well.) We also know that their society uses droids as teachers, tram drivers, guards, and so on. They also use Old Republic credits as currency (although they also learn about liquidity and "the fungibility of multiple currencies" at middle school.)

I suspect they also have means of tracking the kids, at the very least, given how quickly the enforcer droid found Wim after he fell into the ravine.

The fact that the Onyx Cinder was upside down when the kids found it suggests that it crashed on the planet. I initially thought that the ravine might have been created by the ship as it crashed, but it seemed more like the ship was buried in the side of the ravine rather than at one end of it. It was located in a restricted area, but it's unclear whether the area was restricted because of the ship or if that was just a coincidence.

The fact that the ship was buried under soil and organic matter suggests it had been there for quite some time.

One thing that always amuses me about Star Wars is how, on the one hand, you've got a ship like the Millennium Falcon that requires constant maintenance to keep it going but, on the other hand, there are ancient droids and spaceships that will turn back on as if they've only been off for hours or days rather than centuries. I guess "They don't make 'em like that anymore" holds true in the GFFA too.

Speaking of the pirates, I think it's interesting that we know the one pirate is Vane from The Mandalorian S3, but no one has referred to him by name on this show yet. So anyone who hasn't seen Mando S3 won't recognize him.

Mildly entertaining, but the one that pushes buttons really annoys me. I can see the others locking him in the brig until he learns to behave.
