I'm seeing speculation online that the Onyx Cinder was a Nihil ship. Based on what little I know of the Nihil from Jedi Survivor, that would make sense if At Attin is indeed a lost High Republic world. It would also be in keeping with the show's overarching pirate theme.


Just rewatched the scene with the droids and Wendle in the forest. The droids are referred to as Safety Droids. One of them says "Starships are not permitted to enter or leave the ..." but Wendle interrupts by saying the kids could be out past the barrier, to which the droid responds, "Breaching the Barrier is a serious violation. The Supervisor will not a--" but then Wendle interrupts again.

I think what the droid is trying to say is that starships are not allowed to pass through the Barrier in either direction without permission from the Supervisor. So maybe once upon a time there were ships (such as the Star Wars equivalent of armored cars) that had permission to come and go from At Attin. Perhaps there still are. Everyone on At Attin seems to know what a starship is after all.

My impression was it was a blind/cloaking device, rather than a physical barrier. Could still cause a ship to crash if it couldn’t see where it was going.

The episode of "Space 1999" in which "God" tries to create a new Earth with Koenig, Maya, Verdeschi, and Russell comes to mind. Carter flies an Eagle to where the planet should be and then, when it appears, he's only a few dozen metres off the deck.

So far, I am enjoying the show. It has started off better than any of the live action Disney shows, including Mando. The kid actors are good and there seems to be an engaging story/plot.

So, is Jod/Crimson Jack a Force-sensitive orphan kid raised by pirates or was he a Padawan who survived Order 66 and kept his powers quiet? An older teen Padawan would be in their mid-40's at the time of the Mandalorian and the other shows and Jude Law is 51, so it would fit. I really don't think he was ever a full Jedi, though.

Disney shows tend to start off Allright. Andor gad a slow one.

This one seems very well received comparatively. Is it perfect no but it was more fun than the rest imho.

I reckon Jod is a padawan who survived by becoming a pirate. He may have started wearing that metal mask to avoid being recognized by anyone who might report him to the Inquisitors.

When Fern commented that their escape was too easy, I was thinking much the same thing. Brutus seemed too surprised / angry for it to be yet another “we’ve planted a tracking device on their ship so now we’re going to let them go” plan.

I’m not a big fan of Star Wars’ habit of including various anthropomorphic Earth creature species – we’ve got squid people, shark people, spider people, otter people, wolf people, elephant people, and now owl people!

Surely a barren moon like that shouldn’t have a breathable atmosphere!

I think this episode basically confirms At Attin’s connection is to the High Republic not the First Order. It’s a world lost to time as well as space.

KB’s moms talked about her having medical issues. I wonder if her cybernetic implant is related to that.
