I've learned to enjoy it by pretending it's either Bilbo's first draft that's full of exaggerations or a version of the Hobbit that takes place in the Warhammer universe.Still better than The Battle of Five Armies.
The AV Club had an article about movies produced to hold onto copyrights and this one was completely new to me as well.@Whizbang Dustyboots
How on earth did you come upon this?
Wife and I are pretty geeky when it comes to Tolkien, but honestly never knew this existed!
That was awesome, I think I enjoyed it more the interminably dull Tolkien versionA 1966 version intended mostly to hold onto the rights for producer William L. Snyder. It is not the story you're familiar with.
Evil Ent-Trolls are awesome, gonna use thoseHonestly, the groans aren't a terrible monster. They don't carry quite the baggage of trolls and turning into old gnarled trees when the sun hits them is pretty great, even if it's a riff on the Hobbit trolls turning to stone.
Treants with faces.Evil Ent-Trolls are awesome, gonna use those
