Spoilers SW: Skeleton crew discussion thread

Just looked it up. They could still pull a fast one on us, but the credits list the supervisor's voice actor as being Stephen Fry, British Actor, Comedian, Writer, etc.

I don't think there was a voice credit listed for Rennod in the previous episode, but now need to check that.

Cheers :)

And checked the previous episodes, no voice actor on record for the Rennod recording. It might be Fry, it might be someone else, anyone up to doing a side by side comparison if they have the capability?

I am sure we will all find out in 6 days time.

Cheers :)

Well, that’s a big name. If he appears in person in the next episode, it’s no wonder they obscured the faces of the statue and recording.
I recognized Stephen Fry's voice immediately. The voice in the Captain Rennod recording sounded nothing like him.

If Captain Rennod is the Supervisor, I expect he won't take kindly to Jod encroaching on "his" territory.

One thing that strained credulity for me a bit this episode was how "Yes, I am the Emissary" was good enough to give Jod access to one of the vaults. I mean, yes, it's relatively safe to assume that a person who passes through the Barrier in a Republic Emissary vessel would be a Republic Emissary, but given that we're talking about lots and lots of money here, you'd think the Emissary would still have to show some kind of ID ... or have a special key needed to unlock the vault ... something like that anyway!

I suppose it could be a trap, but it didn't seem like it.

I guess Jod will find some way to bring the pirate frigate through the Barrier so that Neel can use the artillery that is undoubtedly hidden on the roof of his school to fend it off. I mean, there's got to be a payoff for that bit before the end, right?

The planet is run by droids who are especially dumb.

The ship is the key.

However,

Did you notice the very secure looking docking clamps? If the supervisor is Rennod, he isn't going to allow even a genuine Republic Envoy to leave, is he? It occurs to me that if Rennod managed to take over the planet, but lost his ship, he might have been unable to open the vaults himself. Which would explain why he has spent so long playing supervisor rather than spending the loot.

I am not sure why people are thinking the Supervisor was in charge of all the planets, when each planet likely had it's own Supervisor
I think everyone assumes each planet had it's own supervisor. However, eight are gone, there is now only one left.
So I think the headless statue and the face missing from the holo of Rennod are just red herrings.
The theory is that Rennod was the supervisor of At Achrann before turning pirate.

HK-47 predates high republic so we know that droid tech can be better. B-1 battle droids were just a companies generic brand.
Currently, HK-47 and other Old Republic droids are not canon. But sure, both the B-1 droids and the At Atin security droids seem to be cheep mass produced models.

SM-33 is presumably old, and had much higher cognitive function.
