Currently, HK-47 and other Old Republic droids are not canon. But sure, both the B-1 droids and the At Atin security droids seem to be cheep mass produced models.

SM-33 is presumably old, and had much higher cognitive function.

Jedi Droid in Ahsoka is even older than HK-47.

B1s were really really cheap.

These security droids were better shots than Stormtroopers. Better shots than most Rebels too.

I'll admit I was a bit shocked by Jod's ruthlessness with Brutus. Not for the character, but for what so far has largely been a kid's show.
That particular act certainly removes any possibility that he might be a redeemable character, to me.

Plenty of violent death in the animated Star Wars shows too.

Killing a helpless mutinous pirate, for expediency's sake.

Well after Reva and Tales of the Empire you just flick a switch and you're redeemed. Super easy barely an inconvenience.

Forever the darkside dominates your destiny means the best episode potentially.

I think it’s obvious that “Captain Silvo” is the Long John Silver character in this show. That being said, good ol’ Silver never stopped being nice to young Jim, unlike Jod. So it’s not a 1:1 comparison.
