I didn't. I just said that's a lot of words to express a very simple difference in taste. In what way are your feelings on the matter any more valid than theirs?

Maybe so, but I can't see any logical errors in any piece of that post. It isn't necessarily true, but it absolutely can be.I didn't. I just said that's a lot of words to express a very simple difference in taste.
My impression is that for players who start with 5.5 and only own those books, fey goblins will be the only ones that exist.I think this has some nuance based on the fact that 2024 isn't a fully new edition. It exists in the context of being 5e. 5e already has humanoid goblins, and those aren't going anywhere. I suspect the humanoid goblins will use the "generic NPC" statblocks, rather than any entry for "Goblin." It sounds like they're not going to focus on them, but much like, idk, the rune knight, it's still a viable option.
Not exactly the company line according to the video. My impression is that for players who start with 5.5 and only own those books, fey goblins will be the only ones that exist.
Possibly, but that was not how it was described in the video. My impression is that for players who start with 5.5 and only own those books, fey goblins will be the only ones that exist.
I'd wager we still have a Goblin template for the NPC statblocks, which is how you'd stat up a humanoid goblin with the 2025 MM.My impression is that for players who start with 5.5 and only own those books, fey goblins will be the only ones that exist.
At least all the changes have really sparked my curiosity.I'd wager we still have a Goblin template for the NPC statblocks, which is how you'd stat up a humanoid goblin with the 2025 MM.
