D&D (2024) 13 Attacks a Round the Most You Can Get?

There is no multiple attack action nor is there a limit on using the extra attack except it must be on the fighter's turn. You get the extra attack whenever take an attack action, and with action surge you gain a second action which allows you to take a second attack action and all that entails.

Okay, 2048 attacks it is. Can anyone beat that?

This is also another reason not to go with that ruling on Action Surges, but hey...if we are going to abuse the system...here we go.

What are you talking about? Action Surge gives you one addition Action, which can be used to do however many attacks your class is capable of doing with the Attack Action.

So at Level 5 you get 2 additional attacks, at Level 11 you get 3, and at Level 20 you get 4. That's not a "popular interpretation" of the rule, that's literally what it says.

Seems legit!

So far, pretty standard.

A little situational, maybe, but with 9 attacks, getting a crit is only a matter of time, really, hahaha.

Relies a bit on an external force, but extremely common tactic.

Same - relies a bit on some help or some foolish monsters, but yeah.

Legit, though one of the areas where I have some quibbles with the system. I feel like "1/turn" options really push this kind of optimization, where folks really want to drive into getting their 1/turn effects off multiple times per round (sneak attack suffers a similar issue). It's a fair cop, but idk why we can't just limit effects to 1/round sometimes, either.

More interested if it works or not.

Won't happen in real game much but innour 12th level stress test hew was firing a bit usually because of death.

Scaled down version you're still looking at a lot of attacks.

If you can abuse this to increase your attacks, you can combine it with other abilities and weapons to actually give you 2048 attacks in one round.

This is not a mystery or weird way to do it either. IF we want to go gonzo, I can do it with the best of them.

Generally it would be 1024 attacks, but apparently, with a specific weapon from a splat you can double that to give you 2048 attacks in one round.

Personally, I thought such things were abusing the rules, but just because I feel that the rules don't say what people think they do, doesn't mean that I'm completely ignorant or don't know how to abuse these things myself.

It's the same way I was one of the first to show the extremes of how high an AC could go if one wanted to use the vagaries of the rules to be a munchkin (and gosh, do I dislike Munchkins who try to play sometimes, the best way to beat them is to munchkin yourself, but I hate myself when I play that way, or even worse, DM that way).

Eight attacks (without the white-rooming) twice per short rest at 20th level isn't a big deal. Especially considering what a wizard can do at the same level.

This isn't munchkining anything, it's as designed.

Can be 10 without to much set up.

Again, what are you talking about? There is absolutely not any way you can do 1024 or 2048 attacks in a round.

Action Surge gives you, at the absolute most, 5 extra attacks if we're including Echo Knight subclass. Where are you getting 1000+ from?

That poster was being hyperbolic.
