D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

@Cergorach regarding laughing emoji...

Yeah, I was NOT being funny, I was 1000% serious in this post:
Awesome! Sorry, but I think this is better than 99% of the art in the 2024 books...

A lot of the AI art in this thread is superior to the crap art in the 2024 books IMO. You don't agree? Fine, but please respect MY preference even if you disagree with it.

You can even say you think this piece or other AI art is garbage, and while I won't agree with that I'll respect your right to think that without laughing at you for it.

Thanks.

@ezo You're reading way too much into my laughing emoji! Maybe first figure out yourself before laying out motivations at others feet. Sometimes people are laughing with you, instead of laughing at you...

Considering there really wasn't anything funny about my post, a simple "like" would more easily and clearly show support than "laughing". And I don't have anything to "figure out" about myself, thanks.

Sometimes people are laughing with you, instead of laughing at you...
But I wasn't laughing at anything...

TBH I could have posted a laughing emoji too. When in other threads people who say that AI art is nice are told that no, AI art is "slop" and vastly inferior to WotC published art, I find it funny, not in a laughable way but in a supporting way to say "it makes me smile", that someone thinks exactly the opposite thing. I'll be more wary about using it now that I see how it can be interpreted in a disparaging way.

Without some sort of confirming remark, yeah it is best to be careful. But I have to ask, was there anything "funny" about my post, do you find it amusing that I prefer the AI art in this thread to the 2024, or what?

I understand your point, but from my perspective a "smile" emoji would be fine for "it makes me smile" while a laughing emoji is more "that was funny so I am laughing". When there was really nothing funny in the post, it can come off as disparaging or mocking.

This is why the "it makes me smile" emoji I use is the simple like. It avoids any confusion IME. I've had to defend my "laughs" when people misunderstood my intent as well, to clarify it wasn't meant to be mocking or anything, and I changed them to a like to make that clear.

ANYWAY...
ChatGPT recently made their image generation a lot better. Here are some characters from Witchlight that seemed especially well-done.

It had a very hard time putting them all in a group shot, though, including multiple attempts that ADDED ANOTHER CHARACTER for some reason, lol
Also, for reference, these are a fairy (fey pact) warlock, harengone clockwork sorcerer, and a loxodon wild magic barbarian.

@ezo Enough please. Post AI generated art or comment on the art that is posted or start a thread elsewhere to discuss you views on what is or is not funny. No one in this thread wants to discuss what makes you smile.
Really? No one? Because this...

Seems to be discussing it.

So, how about this: if you don't like it, ignore me. Then you won't have to see it. :)
