Eberron: Forge of the Artificer to Be Priced at $29.99

Dungeons & Dragons is returning to the splatbook era. Today, Wizards of the Coast announced pre-orders for Eberron: Forge of the Artificer, a new "rules expansion" focused on Eberron. Buried in the pre-order announcement is that the physical version of the book will cost just $29.99, suggesting a much thinner page count and the lowest price point for a Fifth Edition book released by Wizards of the Coast.

Wizards previously teased that the new Eberron book would be different from other D&D sourcebooks, but the $29.99 price point is about half of the current $50-$60 price point for current D&D rules manuals. No page count has been confirmed for the new Eberron book, so we'll have to see just how much of a splatbook Eberron: Forge of the Artificer ends up being.

Looks like it, but it sounds like there'll only be 5 races, which, counting the Khoravar (half elves?), is 5 I believe.
Depends if the other four are the ECS originals (Changeling, Kalashtar, Shifter, Warforged) yet again, or if they feel the versions of some of those that last appeared in Rising from the Last War or Monsters of the Multiverse still hold up. I could see a world where one or two of those get left off and we get playable gnolls or updated goblins or the like.

Well, no. Updated goblins are probably going in the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor book. So probably it's the ECS four again. But we'll see.

We know it’s is Warforged, Shifter, Changling, Kalashtar, and Khoravar already. The “Players Option” preview page they shared on the preorder link says it’s those 5.

I'm not entirely sure that the red head/brunette on the left is a dwarf. Looks somewhat halfling in build and eberron has very distinct halflings (boromir mafia types and blade desert dino riding tribal barbarian types). The leather armor and those heavy duty riding gloves kinda lean that way too.
The blond is more stocky and could go either way but definitely looks to be wearing an expression that goes with letting someone know that they are late paying their loanshark.
