It is well known that Star Trek characters generally improve when they get a beard. It worked for both Sisko and Riker.

Chakotay needed a full neck-beard.

Just watched S1 “The Forsaken”. Loved it! Lwaxana and Odo were particularly fun together but so was Dr Bashir with the ambassadors and O’Brien with his “pup”. Great episode!

Season 1 is great compared to most Trek. Overall it's more average imho.

Yep. One of my favorite DS9 episodes and easily a top 10 of all Star Trek. It’s the episode I use to get people hooked on DS9.
