Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

It's a very fun episode, like it's very stupid but most of the cast understood the assignment
They may have understood it, but they didn't necessarily like it. Avery Brooks in particular is on record as seriously disliking it, which may have something to do with its reputation.

He's apparently a real chatterbox according to everyone else.
Yeah. It seems like that's part of the joke!

A moment I really loved in one of last night's episodes was when Sisko went looking for Jake, who hadn't obeyed him about being back in time for dinner. When Sisko found Jake with Nog in a cargo bay, he discovered that Jake was teaching Nog how to read, so he decided not to confront them. Later, he told Jake he was good kid.

That scene chokes me up!

The evolving relationships is one of the best things about the show. Bashir and O'Brien, Bashir and Garak, Sisko and Jake, Quark and Odo, Odo and Kira, etc etc etc. The relationships change over time, and the characters are actually given room to grow.
