Or....just one series that focuses on it. I mean the number of stories you could tell during that time is unreal, its a gold mine of narrative concepts.

That's just a niche within a niche. No matter what story they focus on, there will not be a mass appeal- that's just the reality of it. Most will be like they chose the wrong ones, no matter what they choose. It's a losing proposition.Or....just one series that focuses on it. Ken burns documentary on the blip years....That's just a niche within a niche. No matter what story they focus on, there will not be a mass appeal- that's just the reality of it. Most will be like they chose the wrong ones, no matter what they choose. It's a losing proposition.
eh that's like saying the next marvel movie focuses on one comic gets booed because they didn't do "this other comic".That's just a niche within a niche. I don't think that's nearly the same thing. Those are genres. The blip isn't a genre, it's an event. You can have bits of it woven into a story, but do do the whole production around the blip and the ramifications is a totally different ballgame.eh that's like saying the next marvel movie focuses on one comic gets booed because they didn't do "this other comic".
You can't do every single story in one movie. And that was Marvel's entire pitch for a while, offering different types of storeis in the super hero drama.
Spy Stories - CA2
50's esque mystery - Wandavision
More pure Comedy - Guardians of the Galaxy
Grander drama - Eternals
etc
So yeah doing a blip story is just hand in hand with that, another backdrop to tell an interesting story involving superheroes.
Agreed. It's really dumb to have the Blip, the most major event in human history happen, only to never really mention it again.Or....just one series that focuses on it. I mean the number of stories you could tell during that time is unreal, its a gold mine of narrative concepts.

It's dumb there, too.Comics have done the equivalent on and off for decades.
