D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

I was disappointed with the first Stranger Things D&D boxed set. I liked the concept of it, but it felt rushed and the adventure and overall production values were bad. This looks a lot better and I might pick it up for a family game day, if I hear good things about the adventure.
I admit, I bought it just because I wanted a demogorgon mini. Coincidentally, I just re-read it, because my seven-year old has it in his head he wants to do a dungeon crawl, and it might be perfect for what he wants.

But I might hold off now for the new set and see how it fits my kids group. They should have finished "Salted Legacy" (Radiant Citadel) and "Baker's Doesn't" (Dragon Delves) around the time this drops.

I wish I'd picked up a bunch more of the ST boxed set when Meijer was clearance them out at like $7 each, but I only wanted the minis, and that seemed wasteful. (At the time, we didn't have any therapy or school groups I could have donated the adventures to. Do now, though.)

I mean, the fact both ST sets were supposedly written by characters from the show but are statted for 5E and not B/X is one in and of itself.
They were using a mixture of Basic and AD&D products on the show (and no doubt a load of house rules). Which is what we did at the time.

But they could assume these are updated versions of the of 1980s adventures, but keeping most of the original text.
