Its more or less resolved at the end when Bashir is like, "yeah I dont want play darts...but maybe in a few weeks." I thought this was an excellent episode, if somewhat ship in a bottle. One of the themes for the Bashir character is maturing through experience, and Miles has already taken that road as his friend and sort of mentor. Hippocratic Oath takes that further in the role of Bashir as a doctor and O'Brien as a former solider.
Examine the possibilities from both Miles and Julian is interesting. As a doctor obviously Julian wants to help people. If he can break the Jem'Hadar of their addiciton, he can free them from the heels of the dominion. Miles is old school and you dont help your enemy during a conflict, but I think he also goes the extra mile to save a friend. Who knows what these Jem'Hadar would do after the cure let along the rest of them? It might be a worse menace setting them free to the Federation.
