The official EN World puppy/doggo thread

Today a wandering pup showed up while nobody was looking. He was cute, but I had nothing to feed him, and he kept on his way while I was distracted. Doggos are common in the random encounter tables, so we might meet again someday.

This is Marnie, our 2-year-old Aussie.

She's the fastest, most agile, smartest, and most sensitive dog I've ever had. She's also completely bonkers in a good way.

Marnie was a rescue and had a tough start in life, but she's found her forever home with us. She barks at animals on TV, barks at hats, helps bring in the groceries from the car, puts her toys away at night, loves going for rides in the car, is afraid of cats but not people or dogs, and can catch a tennis ball if you throw one before the ball even hits the ground. She's also very protective of the family, including the kiddos, which means that I can trust she's watching over them when they're playing outside.

She's a canine lightning bolt, sharp as a tack, and 40 pounds of pure personality.

I sure love that dog.

Very sorry for your loss.

Of all the things people bred into dogs over the years, I wish they'd bred them to live longer.

We got 16 years including a really great summer up until he his health went. Still miss him all the time but cherish the memories.

While obviously they're dogs, herders of almost any sort are kind of their own thing as dogs go, and until you've been around them for a while its hard to realize how true that is.

Mutts get good luck with genes. My guy was always healthy. Healthy portions a good diet and daily exercise is the keys to a good long doggo life.

Mine have been mixed too, except the first one. They've just largish breeds and have had runs of bad luck.
