Horwath Legend Today at 8:29 AM #3 heh, I still forget that ranged attacks do not provoke AoO in 5E. They should, but that is another topic. maybe if you want to, you can bake it in with ritual caster feat so all scrolls can be activated with 100% success.

Stormonu NeoGrognard Today at 12:58 PM #4 I use older edition rules - to use a scroll, the spell has to be on your spell list. Only exception are protection scrolls, which can be used by anyone.
